Some say that 80% of all we read or hear we forget in 20
minutes.
We believe that we can make your live events “Truly Memorable” and attract additional
interest and support for your events.
This could increase your events’ value and recognition- and thereby gain
further support for your efforts.
We
can do this with minimal extra work
on your part.
Reflecting more on the issues and benefits;
could it be that?
You have meetings, seminars, conferences, training courses
and speeches that convene with important speakers and subject matter experts
throughout the year. There is an enormous potential for additional value from
your events which is indicated by the fact that you would have a much larger
audience for many of your events if only it were practical to accommodate the
travel, attendance and participation.
Until now, the interest – and even the need – to ‘be
there’ may have been great, but the combination of geographical, financial and
timing practicalities has been blockers. Plus, cultural and language diversity
has often added an additional barrier to realising more of the inherent value
of some events.
The ability to communicate the feel and the focus of each
event beyond the threshold of the actual live interactions has always been
problematic for you as well – with text-only minutes frequently being the only
practical option available. Lost forever is the force that was felt from within
the feelings expressed during these events. And with that loss, much momentum
for positive, sustainable change has also been left behind.
But this is old news. So what is different now?
Today, there is an approach and a technology for
promoting tacit knowledge transfer that is being used by multinational
organisations such as BP at an accelerating pace. The approach to recording and
referencing important events is one that has continued to mature over the last
10 years, to be what it is today. As a result, there is now a simple way for
you to take much greater advantage of the events your organisation is already
investing in and that you are organising.
Our approach compliments each of your events with a
digital information product – one that retains the inspirational dimension of
both your presenters and your delegates. And it requires minimal additional
effort on your part.
Our preferred deal?
Is a straightforward contract to represent the
event for a fee. We have a rate card for the various services, (that is not
available on this site) we would be happy to share this with you after a
conversation about your specific requirements. If you have budget constraints
we are happy to work with you to identify ‘work sharing’ or ‘content shaping’
measures that might make a representation of your event viable.
What
if you were able to reach many
more students and transform valuable
face to face lecture time into opportunities for more dynamic interactions that build deeper insights.
Some say that 80%
of all we read or hear we forget in 20 minutes. And that many of us
can only remember the details through repetition and practice using multiple
senses.
So what if you could supply your students with an
interactive multi-sensory study set that they could be using before, during, and after your classes?
Can you imagine that such study sets could
potentially transform your students’
learning practices?
We can feature you in these study sets with minimal extra work on your part.
How can we do this?
We film you in-action, retaining the power of your
conviction while you are lecturing your class. Then we augment this raw footage
with slides, transcripts, tests and other supporting materials you believe
will enhance the students learning.
Reflecting more
on the issues and benefits:
Where do you get your satisfaction? From expounding
theory? Or from interaction with the students at a level that demonstrates that
they are truly learning?
What would it be like if you could give the
“theory” lecture once, then focus on clarifying the complexities with students
or helping them apply the theory in practise?
What would it be like if you could draw on a
digital bank of other experts to augment your own delivery?
Is consistency of content delivery over time
important to your course? And is this difficult to maintain?
Do you wish that you could get your message to
many, many more students without adding to your workload?
And looking at it from a student’s
perspective:
How often do you lose concentration and wish you
could ask the lecturer to repeat the last 5-10 minutes?
How often would you like to take a time-out to let
your brain absorb what you have just heard?
When you come to revise, how frustrating is it that
your notes don’t reflect what you think was said? If you can find the notes at
all?
Can you really depend on your friend’s notes for
those lectures you missed? And if you can; what does that say for the
inspirational quality of the lecturer?
What would it be like if the teacher had more time
to help you master the topic at hand?
And what makes I-T-L
different?
The concept of e-Learning has been around for many years
and there are many products available on the market that could deliver the
benefits alluded to. So what’s different in our approach? It is the
amalgamation of three things;
The first is authoring simplicity; We capture you live, in
real action with students. The resultant materials (slides, videos and
transcript) are encapsulated in an authoring tool that allows you to decide
what to keep or reject and to edit the transcript and navigation points.
The second is content re-usability; Each lecture is
broken down into “Learning units”, the equivalent of one slide’s worth of
content. These learning units can be mixed and matched together, and updated
individually over time. (For example: An overview course could be created by
extracting the first slide’s worth from each of say 12 lectures).
The third is cost flexibility; We have built a set
of tools, processes and suppliers that enable rapid and inexpensive development
of courses. We are conscious that budgets for training are tight and we offer
hybrid schemes in which the tools and processes can be licensed so that you can
do it yourself, calling on our help only as needed.
We believe our approach makes it possible for you
to positively transform the experience for both you and your students, with
minimal additional effort on your part.
We have three
types of deal that we do in this context:-
The first is a straightforward contract to
represent the event for a fee. We have a rate card for the various services, (that
is not available on this site) we would be happy to share this with you after a
conversation about your specific requirements. If you have budget constraints
we are happy to work with you to identify ‘work sharing’ or ‘content shaping’
measures that might make a representation of your teaching viable.
The second is risk reward and this works where you
have courses that you sell to attendees for a given price. We would share the
cost of producing the digital representation with you, you would increase your
price to reflect the additional value and then wev would share this additional
revenue in an agreed percentage. We gain additional revenue by selling the ‘digital
course’ to those who cannot attend face to face.
The third is a variant on the second, but applies
where there is no direct payment for attending the course, such as University
Lecture series, but there would be value in selling this course digitally to a
wider audience.
Some say that 80% of all we read or hear we forget in 20
minutes.
The implications of this on Organisational Learning are significant.
We can help you make your many knowledge sharing
events “Truly Memorable” and by
so doing, help you drive the value of your events dramatically upwards and drive the costs of future sharing downwards.
What if you could tangibly build Organisational Memory at
a lower cost - yet with minimal additional effort on your part?
We can do this with minimal extra work on your part.
How can we do this?
Our approach compliments each of your knowledge
sharing events with a digital information
product – one that retains the inspirational dimension of the
participants as well.

Do you conduct
interviews as part of your research for your client?
What would it be
like if the insights you gleaned were backed up by video snippets from the
interviews, and in what ways would a searchable library of such video snippets
alter the client’s perception of your value?
Do you conduct workshops
or host events on behalf of your
client?
What additional
value do you think they would get from these events being recorded and
re-presented as part of a new Digital Organisational memory? And what increased
fees could you earn from developing that memory for them?
Do you help your clients communicate and promote
change?
What would it be
like if you could extend the reach of the torch bearers, getting the message
out across space and time in a consistent timely fashion? What wouldit be like
if you could likewise give the community at-large a vehicle to communicate back
to the torch bearers?
Are you contracted to transfer capability to your client’s organisation as part of
your assignments?
What additional
value could you provide by delivering your knowledge in a digital format that
they could refer to when and where it suited them? And how would thishelp you
win the assignments in the first place?
Do you bring
teams of consultants to bear on projects? Do you have to assure the client of the teams’
capabilities?
Could video
based C.V.s and testimonials help your client’s comfort level?
Do you on-sell
other consultants?
What would it be
like to have video based C.V.’s and testimonials to help in this task?
Is it important that your methodologies are documented and known by the consultants in
the practice? Is it important that consultants learn from each others’
experiences, mistakes and successes?
How much more
effective than your current practice would a “Digital methods bank” be? Can
you imagine how such a bank of re-presentations of the experts describing the
methodology, case studies and project reviews could support a growth curve in
your business?
Is it important that you learn from conferences and seminars? And do you
have the time to attend or do days with the client come first?
Brad’s consulting story:-
“Hi there. My name is Brad Meyer. Since you’ve decided
you’re interested, I’m happy to share with you here what using I-T-L’s services
has done for me – how it’s affected my coaching / consultancy service
(Collaboration Ltd.) and what this has meant to my business which is
of course an indication of what it could mean for your
business.
Well financially, it’s been great an extra 100K+ in revenue over the last
twelve months hasn’t gone unappreciated. And that’s without my trying, really.
I’ve done no marketing as such.
The I-T-L side of my business has been growing almost
completely through the reputation
of the multi-sensory knowledge assets that I’m helping my
clients produce and use across their organisations.
And the new opportunities that have cropped up for
expanding my core business have
been pretty good too.
In fact amazingly just as I sat down to write this
short story up for you, an instant message popped up on my screen from someone
an ocean away - asking me if I would be available in 10 weeks’ time for some
exciting I-T-L related work in a lovely warm climate.
It’s lucky for them, because it’s my first flexible period
in quite a while. And it’s great for me too some autumnal travel and an extra
20 to 40K or more in revenue will
be very nice too, thank you very much.
I have reached the tipping point in this side of my
activities and your business may be able to benefit as a result. Being a
co-founder of I-T-L, I have trialled its wares through my own consultancy
first. I-T-L is looking for a few additional consultancies to work with now.
The process involved in my helping clients design, develop
and deploy multi-sensory e-Learning modules and interactive knowledge assets
has become easier and easier over time. Here are some statistics that might
help me clarify this for you…
I-T-L provides me with simple solutions. For each learning
hour, a subject matter expert used to have to invest up to 100 hours to ensure
content accuracy. Using I-T-L’s approach now, it can require as little as 2
hours of their time instead. That is, 1/50th
of the time it would take using a legacy approach.
I-T-L solutions provide me with immediate impact. An
hour-long video-centric module used to take up to six months or more in development
time. Using I-T-L’s approach, my clients can see the completion of their module
within 1 week of recording. That is, 1/24th
of the time it would take using a legacy approach.
I-T-L solutions provide my clients with lasting learning.
With I-T-L, we are finally able to provide an interactive, sensory-rich,
nonlinear continuous learning environment to promote on demand capacity
building in their organisations.
So if you want to know how I-T-L can specifically benefit
your own business with great revenue building potential, I’d be willing to talk
with you. If you’re like me, you’ll want to explore the possibilities.”
Our preferred deal types:-
The deals we do with fellow consultants depend on how we
share the work with you and the extent to which you wish us to interact with
your client directly.
For example if you introduce us to a client and then step
back and we do all of the sales and delivery work we will pay you 5% of our rvenues with that client over the
first 6 months of business. On the other hand if you conclude the sale and
handle all of the client interaction the percentage could rise to 20%, and if you were to participate in the
analysis of the materials and production process there is an opportunity to make more money.
We have a rate card for our services (that is not
available on this site) that we will happilly share with you once we are in a
conversation about doing business together.
Some say that 80%
of all we read or hear we forget in 20
minutes.
I believe that we can make your live events “Truly Memorable” as well as attract
additional paying (virtual) delegates to you.
This could increase your net profit by 20% or more.
And we can do this at no cost to your company.
How can we do this?
Our approach compliments each of your events with a
digital information product –
one that retains the inspirational dimension of
both your presenters and your delegates.
Put yourself in
the shoes of a delegate!
How often have you left an event buzzing with inspiration - yet without easy
access back to some of the invaluable information that was freely shared While
you were there?
How often have you wished you could just step back into an
event and re-energise yourself -
while picking up the information you really wished that you now had to-hand?
Have you ever been at an event and saw clearly that your
colleagues should have been there too
– but time, geography or finances had suggested otherwise?
Put yourself in the shoes of a presenter!
How often have you inspired
and informed an audience at an event, and then wondered how they got
on back in their ‘real’ worlds with what you shared with them?
How often have you wished they would go back and tell everyone about you and then have
someone call you up to hire you in for one of their internal events or
initiatives?
Have you ever been “in
the zone” at an event and wished that you could have had yourself
‘canned’ for others to see and to benefit from elsewhere?
And from your
perpective!
What if you could address these problems & aspirations
in a way that “up-sells” your
in-room delegates?
What if you could give your presenters an increased exposure and advantage into their
aspired for market place?
What if you could attract in an infinite number of additional paying (virtual) delegates over
time?
What if you could generate an additional 20% revenue stream doing
this?
What if you could set up to do this at no cost to you?
Our Preferred
Deal:-
For this type of work we like to enter into a risk-reward contract in which we produce a
product from your event and share the net gain with you on an equal basis.
We have quoted a 20%
increase in net revenues in a previous section and while we don’t of
course know your cost model, we believe that this is a conservative estimate .
So how did we work this out? Here are our working assumptions…
Your revenue stream is comprised of people paying
say £500 per event. If we assume your net revenue is a third of that, then
that’s £166 in profit.
Assuming delegates will pay £600 for the seminar
since it includes access to its digital reproduction – and we split the
additional £100 two-ways, then after I-T-L costs of £10 per delegate, your
revenue increases by £45 to £211, an increase of 27%.
If in addition, 10% of your delegates took the
opportunity to buy access to two additional digital reproductions for £100
each. The notional value from each attendee would rise to £221 an extra 6% on net revenue
So a total potential increase of 33% in your net
revenue, put in an error factor of about 10% and you have a revenue increase in
the range of 25-40%, making 20% should thus be easily deliverable.
And this with minimal additional effort on your
part, all we ask is that you convince us that there is a market for the product
and work with us to make the sales.
